Daniel W. Young, Sr. - 82
Of Valdosta passed away early Saturday, September 02, 2006 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born February 27, 1924 in Clinch County, GA to the late Francis M. and Artiemish Newmans Young. He was a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church, served in the United States Air Force and worked as a truck driver. His brothers, Oscar Young, Raymond Young, Harry Young, and sister, Marie Harris precedes him in death.
Survivors include: 3 Daughters & Sons-in-Laws; Joyce & Walter Griner, Morven, GA, Judy & Frank Tucker, Valdosta, GA, Candace & Layton Crosby, Valdosta, GA, 3 Sons & Daughters-in-law; Daniel & Linda Young, Jr., Valdosta, GA, Bill & Ann Young, Valdosta, GA, Steven & Kimberly Young, Hahira, GA, Brother, Pete Young, Homerville, GA, Friend, Mamie Sue Young, Valdosta and a number of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services were held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in Wayfare Cemetery where full military honors will be rendered.
