Danny Eugene Sword, 71
of Hahira, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Fellowship Home – Brookside. Danny was born on September 12, 1950 in Washington Courthouse, Ohio to the late Ruth and Roy Sword. Mr. Sword retired from the United States Air Force having served for 20 years with many awards and accomplishments. He enjoyed fishing and loved his family above all else. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Burks Sword and brothers, Tommy Sword and Larry Sword along with niece, Bev Sword.
Mr. Sword is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Dale) Hubbard of Wewahitchka, Florida and Portia (Doug) Ladley of Mt.Sterling, Ohio; granddaughters, Whitney Shoaf of Mt. Sterling, Ohio and Elizabeth Hubbard of Wewahitchka, Florida; great grandchildren, Adilynn and Karder Hubbard of Wewahitchka, Florida; nephew, Earl Harper of Lake City, Florida; niece, Jeni (Jodi) Swisher of Grove City, Ohio; sister, Judy Harper of Washington Courthouse, Ohio.
Per the family’s request, memorialization will be by cremation and his remains buried privately in the Good Hope cemetery in Cullman, AL with the rendering of full military honors. Messages of sympathy may be left for the family by visiting
