David Wayne Crews, 64, of Nashville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. David was born on April 28, 1959 in Hahira, Georgia to Charles and Margaret Gaither Crews. David was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved his family with every ounce of himself. He was a kind, happy person who loved to joke with people and never met a stranger. A true die-hard fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward "Buddy" Crews, father and mother in law, John and Linda Elias Sr., and brother in law, John Elias Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen Crews of Nashville, GA; daughter, Jessica Madlyn Hutto and companion Ray Paulk of Nashville, GA; grandson, Corbin Mason Hutto of Nashville, GA; his beloved fur grand buddy, Benners; mother, Margaret Crews; two brothers, Charles Raymond (Sherry) Crews of Nashville, GA, Tim Lavone (Betty) Crews of Nashville, GA; five sister in laws, Sue (Jeff) Dean of Jefferson, GA, Joan (Rick) Pulley of Watkinsville, GA, Beth Elias of Orlando, FL, Katie Garmon of Alpharetta, GA, Deneen Elias of Monroe, GA; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Music Funeral Services of Lakeland with burial to follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens.
