David Clem Pearson, 64,
Of Lakeland passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, surrounded by family at Langdale Hospice house after an extended illness. He was born July 23, 1952, to the late John C. and Sarah F. Vining Pearson. David served in the United States Army as a Ranger, 101st Airborne division. During his time enlisted, he fought in the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged, he worked for Lee Container as a mechanical engineer for many years. He attended ABAC after high school where he studied mechanical engineering. He enjoyed hunting, beekeeping, tending to his pecan orchard, and fishing. David, being a certified gunsmith, was also known for his marksmanship. He was a member of Lovejoy Community Church and led the Men’s Fellowship. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Caleb, and brother Johnny Pearson.
Survivors include: Wife, Abby Pearson of Lakeland, GA; Sons & Daughter-in-Law, Sean David Pearson of Lakeland, GA; Brandon (Mary Beth) Tolle of Gray, GA; Bryce Tolle of Nashville, GA; Daughter & Son-in Law, Sarah (Coy) Chambers of Thomasville, GA; Cynthia Tolle of Lakeland, GA; Brother & Sister-in-Law, Ricky & Sherry Pearson of Lakeland, GA; Grandchildren: Kandler Pearson, Sean-David Pearson, Elijah Tolle, Ansley Jane Tolle; Aunts Ouida Gaskins of Nashville, GA and Elouise Moulton of Valdosta, GA; A number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 2PM in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
