David Phillip Truxal

David Phillip Truxal, age 84, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2026. He was born in Terre Haute, IN on August 25, 1941, to parents, Herbert Wilbur Truxal and Helen Cecelia Truxal.

He was a talented and dedicated Aerospace engineer and served 22 years in the United States Air Force. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed genealogy and Find a Grave; later in life, he began playing guitar. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Jo Truxal and son-in-law, Byron Workman.

David is survived by his daughters, Donna Workman of Valdosta, GA, Debbie Pierce (Brad) of Floresville, TX and Stacy Truxal Martin (Lisa) of Crawfordville, FL; grandchildren, Joshua (Tabitha), Brenton, Brandon (Mariah), Jessie, and Dawson and 12 great grandchildren.
