David Jay Westberry – 62
Of Miami, FL passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born on July 7, 1953 in Findley, IL to James L. and Frances A. Heller Westberry. He worked as a supervisor for the Florida State Prison system. "Coach West" an avid baseball coach and manager, he started a travel team known as Team Florida in 1985. Baseball was the love of his life, he spent countless hours mentoring young men. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a Grandson, Jason Westberry.
Survivors include his Daughter & Son-in-Law, Candace & Scott Reaves of West End, NC; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Danny & Diann Westberry of Highlands, IL; Grandchildren, Cassandra Westberry, Hayleigh Westberry, Jacob Westberry, Jay Westberry, James Westberry, Brianna Reaves, Zachary Reaves, & Andrew Reaves; Brothers & Sisters-in-Laws, Gary & Beth Westberry of Lake Park, GA, Greg & Jean Westberry of Valdosta, GA; and a number of nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Morrison Cemetery in Morven, GA.
