Dawn Marie Harmon, 56
Of Valdosta gained her wings Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her residence. She was born February 19, 1962 in San Antonio, TX to Addreana Black and Gary Black
Dawn expanded her love for plants and received her Bachelors Degree in Horticulture, all while being a nurturing mother and loving wife. If she wasn’t dancing like no one was watching, She was singing her heart out. Dawn was always the life of the party. She loved being surrounded by all of her family and friends and lived like every day was her last.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Llorain and Adrian Walker and her father Gary Black, all of Des Moines Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Mark Harmon, Sr.; one Son Walter Harmon, Jr., one Daughter Chloe Harmon and her fiancé Bryan McDaniel; two grandchildren; Peyton Harmon and Walter Harmon, III; one God-Son William Roberts; Brother and Sister-in-laws Steve and Mary Ann Harmon, Jim and Cindy Ross, Paul and Debbie Walden, along with numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Carrie Foster, all of Valdosta. Survivors also include her mother Addreana Black; Sister, Karey Black and two brothers, Lee and David Black, all of Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Music Funeral Services. A special thank you to Halcyon Hospice of for their professional and compassionate care and Joe Nijem for his spiritual guidance and friendship.
