Dawn A. Higgins

Dawn A. Higgins, 87 of Valdosta, GA passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Dawn was born July 15, 1938, in Binghampton, NY to the late Harold and Daisy Higgins. She was a long-time member of the “Barn” church. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Chew of Cortez, FL; grandchildren, Kayla Hill (Clinton) and Michelle Farfaglia (John) both of Dade City, FL; great grandchildren, Reagan Hill, Katelyn Florez, MacKenzie Ludwig, Haylee Florez, Rumaldo Florez, Jr.; Honorary daughter and son in-law; Carol Shaffer (John) of Barney, GA; special friends, Charles “Rusty” Hilton (April) and son, Trey Hilton of Valdosta, GA; along with numerous special friends.
As per her wishes, she will be cremated with a celebration of life held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to The Barn Church (5669 Bland Dairy Dr. Valdosta, GA 31601).
