Delila Ann Pudd Bennett

April 17, 1943 — January 9, 2004

Of Valdosta passed away after a brief illness early Friday evening, January 9, 2004 in John D. Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. She was born in Lanier County and had lived in Valdosta for most of her life, was a waitress, and Baptist by faith. Mrs. Bennett was known for her talent of cooking and was the Grand Prize Winner in the 2001 Valdosta Daily Times Cookbook Contest.

Survivors include: Husband, Robert Earl Bennett, Valdosta, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law
Tammy & Cliff Miley, Valdosta, Georgia, grandson, William “Boo” Baver, Jr, Valdosta, Georgia,
granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Anna Maria and Shannon Goodrum, Valdosta, Georgia, 2 great grandchildren, Dakota and Lexy Goodrum, Valdosta, Georgia, 2 sisters, Sonia Rozier Valdosta, Verna Looney, Valdosta and brother & sister-in-law, Madison and Judy Scurry, Germany, and a number of nieces and and nephews,

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004 in the Stockton Baptist Church with burial following in Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County.

Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Bennett Family.
