Deloris Oleen McKinney

Deloris Oleen McKinney, age 77, of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at her residence. She was born to the Late Jesse James Churchwell and Jessie Odel Churchwell on May 31, 1948, in Hartford, Alabama. Deloris spent 20 years on the road, driving a semi-truck alongside her husband. They shared countless meals together in the truck-stop cafeterias that became second homes during their travels. She earned a cosmetology degree, raised three children, and nurtured a lifelong love of gardening and animals. Above all, Deloris cherished her family, especially Zoie, who held a special place in her heart. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David Gary McKinney, grandson, Matt Harrell.

Survivors include her daughters: Regina Baker of Lithia, Florida, Lori Roberts (Danny) of Brandon, Florida, and Lisa Bannister (Mike) of Valdosta, Georgia; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Glenn Churchwell (Bobbie) of Black, Alabama; sister, Wyona Rainey (Jim) of Mulberry, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the Valdosta chapel of Music Funeral Services. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com.
