Dennis Mitchell Sanchez

Dennis Mitchel Sanchez, age 72, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Sunday, July 19, 2026. He was born to loving parents, George Sanchez and Betty Jo Sanchez in Tampa, Florida on February 4, 1954.

He was a dedicated traveler who loved exploring new places, especially the beauty of the mountains and the peaceful wonder of waterfalls. A passionate sports fan, he had a particular love for football, a sport he enjoyed playing during his high school years. He also loved running and often enjoyed running alongside Ann, who was like a sister to him.

Above all, Dennis adored his granddaughter, who held a very special place in his heart. He loved her more than words can express and would have done anything for her. His faith was also an important part of his life, and he was a faithful member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.

He was married to the love of his life, Debbi Sanchez, for 38 long and wonderful years.

He was a dedicated airplane inspector for Piper Aircraft for many years, where he was respected for his commitment, skill, and attention to detail.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother and sister.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of Valdosta, GA; son, Steve Sanchez of Vero Beach, FL; granddaughter, Abby Sanchez of Palm Bay, FL; his dog, Chloe and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Our Savior Lutheran with Pastor Jack Diel officiating. A reception to follow at Ann’s “Club House” on the river.
