Of Valdosta passed away early Saturday morning July 2, 2005 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born April 8, 1938 in Hahira GA to the late Leslie and Vera Webb Fields. Derry was a graduate of Hahira High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War Period. He was a life long resident of Hahira and worked with Scruggs Concrete and Roundtree Construction. His sister, Virginia Garrison, precedes him in death.
Survivors include: 3 daughters; Debbie, Denise, and Sonia, Son; Mark, 2 Brothers; Lloyd Fields, Bellevue, Washington, Corrence Fields, Pinetta, Fl.
Graveside services were held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2005 in the Shiloh Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com
