Dewayne Alan Garner - 44
Of Valdosta passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born December 27, 1968 in Valdosta, GA to the late Charles and Hilda Garner. He graduated in 1987 from Lowndes High School. Dewayne worked 26 years erecting steel buildings for Steel Building Construction and Warehouse Rentals of South Georgia. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his Brother, David Garner, Aunts: Faye Johnson and Pearl Rowe; Uncles: Jake Garner and Avon Garner.
Survivors include: Wife of 20 years, Teresa Garner; Daughters & Son-in-Laws, Shelby Garner, Danielle & Lance Burkhalter; 2 Grandchildren: Macie Burkhalter & Gage Burkhalter all of Valdosta; Sisters: Libby Moore, Valdosta, Pat Marshall, Dixon, TN; Mother-in-Law, Linda Wesley Barrentine, Father-in-Law & Mother-in-law, James Barbara Hall; 2 Brothers-in-law & Sister-in-law, Lamar Laurie Hall, David Hall; Sisters-in-Law: Lynn Wetherington & Regina Barrentine; Aunt, Cheryl Garner; Uncles: J.C. Rowe & Joe Garner; Special Friends: Bud Bassford & Family and Katherine Revill & Family all of Valdosta and Numerous Family & Friends
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Maxie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery in Echols County. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral Home.
