Dewey “Sonny” Booth, Jr. – 65
Of Valdosta went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 14, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lake Park, GA on March 16, 1952 to the late Dewey H. & Ruth M. (Terrell) Booth, Sr. Sonny worked as a self-employed painter. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Booth; sisters & brother-in-law, Ann & Kelly Hudson & Little Roxie Booth.
Survivors Include: Daughters: Samantha B. Jolly, Valdosta, Peggy Booth, Lake Park; Sons: Matthew Booth, Adel, Eric Santana, Germany, David Booth, Jasper, FL; 5 Grandchildren: Drew Jolly, Drake Jolly, Andrea Sirmans, Alexis Sirmans, Dysen Booth, Jacob Booth, Logan Pastrada and Savannah Bain; Great Grandson: A.J. Jolly; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Patricia & Lee Dukes, Lake Park, Diane & Donald McCall, Milledgeville, GA; Mothers of Children: Kathy Booth & Kelly Santana and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Echols County, GA with Bro. Darwin Hill & Pastor Carlton Allen officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the funeral home. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
