Of 454 Howard Circle in Stockton passed away Thursday night, October 26, 2006 at his residence. He was born on July 18th, 1936 in Lax, GA to the late William Gilmore Petty and Maude Broome Petty Harrison. He was preceded in death by his step father, Dan Harrison, two brothers, Grady Petty & Raymond Petty and two sisters, Lois Robinson and Geraldine Cox. He had lived at his current residence for the past 4 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired painter by trade. He was of the Baptist faith.

McKever, Nashville, GA, Miguel Delgado, Miami, FL, Peter Nelson, Nashville, GA, Brother & Sister In-Law, Andrew & Glenda Petty, Naylor, GA, Sister In-Law, Eva Petty, Quitman, GA, Sister, Athalee Troop, Atlanta, GA, Sister & Brother In-Law, Margaret & Floyd Wagstaff, Mary Esther, FL, 2 Grandsons, Brandon Michael & Austin, Michael, 4 Granddaughters, Amanda Lynn, Krista Michelle, Hailey Nichole, Danielle Suzanne, Alliyah Monique, Mary Annsyle and a number of nieces and nephews.

At the request of Mr. Petty, there will not be a formal funeral service. The body will later be cremated. The family will receive friends Saturday Night, October 28, 2006 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family has asked that no flowers be sent. Donations may be made to the spouse in his memory. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland is serving the Petty family.
