Diane Pruitt Montague – 67
Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2019 at Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 4, 1952 in Naylor, GA to the late Fred and Inez (Carter) Pruitt. Diane was the proud owner of the locally famous Shorty’s Steak House. She was also a member of the Cherry Creek Baptist Church. Along with her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her brothers, Curtis Pruitt, Earl Pruitt, Kenny Pruitt; sisters, Myra Boyd, Christina Cain, and Wauldeen Newbern.
Survivors include: Husband John Montague of Valdosta, GA; Daughters and Son-in- Law Leah Montague of Valdosta, GA, Dr. Monica and Lee Dyess of Valdosta, GA; Brother John Pruitt of Lakeland, GA; Sisters and Brother-in-Law Evelyn Bennett of Adel, GA, Martha Jean and Billy Harris of Nashville, GA; And a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 7, 2019, in The Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in The Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the funeral home. Diane always shared her thoughts with a card, please write down a special memory and bring it to the viewing or service so the family can enjoy later.
