Of Valdosta, GA passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 at South Georgia Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was born November 23, 1961 in Cook County, GA to the late Franklin Allen Southerland and Jackie Southerland of Hahira, GA. She worked as the Manager of Jungle Jyms. She worked so hard to provide better for her family especially her children. She always wanted them to be able to play sports and be a part of anything they wanted while attending school. Most recently she was blessed to have her first grandchild, "Kennedy" and got her new furry baby, "Bear" all in the same day. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Tracy Southerland.
Survivors Include: Husband of 19 Years, Chad Palmer, Valdosta, GA; 2 Daughters: Amanda Newham, Barnesville, GA, Wendy Palmer, Valdosta, GA; 2 Sons & Daughters-in-law, Ryan & Jennifer Newham, Live Oak, FL, Derek & Jenna Newham, Lake Park, GA; Granddaughter Kennedy Newham; Mother, Jackie Southerland, Hahira, GA; 2 Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Jeff & Vickie Southerland, Valdosta, GA, Tim Southerland, Hahira, GA; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Jimmy & Loraine Palmer, Albany, GA; Mother-in-law, Anne Palmer, Lakeland, GA; Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law, Terry & Lisa Palmer, Quitman, GA; Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law, Marie & Robbie Carter, Lake Park, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Cook County, GA. Visitation will be held Monday, June 9, 2014 from 7:00PM-9:00PM at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
