Domie J. “Mema” Stone – 77
Of Nashville passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born on December 28, 1941 in Nashville, GA to the late B.A. & Jeanette (Taylor) Warren. She enjoyed sewing, bird-watching, fishing, painting and watching sports. She loved spending time with her family. She collected cook books and enjoyed being the taste tester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Stone, Sr.; 2 brothers: R.H. Warren & Carlton Warren (Dorothy) and Son-in-law, David Pearson.
Survivors Include her children: Abby Pearson and Dave Stone (Tammy Becton) of Nashville, GA; her grandchildren: Brandon and Marybeth Tolle of Macon, GA, Bryce Tolle of Nashville, GA, Sarah and Coy Chambers of Thomasville, GA, and Dallas Stone of Nashville, GA; great grandchild, Elijah Lewis Tolle & Ansley Jane Tolle; 2 sisters, Ardella Vedas (Carl), Valdosta, GA, Ollene Osborne (Doran), Nashville, GA; brother: Wayne Warren (Joyce), Valdosta; sister-in-law: Joyce Warren Royals, Nashville, GA and extended family and many friends. She also left behind her best friend of 71 years Joann Dean, they started first grade together.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with a private burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Along with flowers the family ask that donations be made to the funeral home for remaining funeral cost.
