Don Whilden

Of Duluth, Georgia passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 in Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth, Georgia after an apparent heart attack. He was born August 20, 1955 in Clinch County, Georgia to late Bonnie Rayman Whilden and his mother Hazel McGlashan Whilden Adkins. He was raised in Stockton, Georgia and graduated from Lanier County High School in 1972. After graduation he attended Valdosta State University where he received his Bachelors of Arts Degree. He later received his Masters in Health Care Administration from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. For the last 10 years he worked for the State of Georgia as a finance manager in the Department of Audits & Accounts. Prior to that he was with Earnest & Young Accounting Firm in Stewart, Florida.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in the Stockton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, August 29, 2009 from 6-8 p.m.
