Donald W. Holston – 55
Of Waycross, GA passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born in Oceanside, California on April 1, 1956 to Katherine Elizabeth Harris Holston and the late Dallas Burtrain Holston. He was the 1974 Valedictorian at Lowndes High School. He graduated from Valdosta State College with an Education Specialist Degree. He retired as a teacher with 28 years of service. He taught the gifted program at Cook County High School from 1978-1991.
Mr. Holston is survived by his, Mother, Katherine Holston, Valdosta, GA; Brother, Dale Holston, Valdosta, GA; Uncle & Aunts, J.M. & Mary Sue Harris, Hahira, GA, Pat Holston, Umatilla, FL; Special Cousins, Carol Harris Cooksey Mike, Tifton, GA, Karen Holston Purvis Scott, Umatilla, FL, and a number of other Cousins
As per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2012 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Elder Johnny Crowley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
