Donald Seckinger

Donald Theron Seckinger, age 88, of Stockton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. He was born to loving parents, Ira Theron Seckinger and Louelle Giddens Seckinger on November 11, 1937, in Blanton, GA.

Donald loved and cherished his family deeply. His faith in the Lord was at the heart of his life, and he faithfully served as a devoted member of Stockton Baptist Church for 65 years. His love for God and his family was evident in the way he lived and in the kindness he showed to those around him.

Donald had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time fishing whenever he could. He also loved watching all kinds of sports, especially NASCAR and Georgia football. He was a dedicated insurance salesman of 42 years with Independent Life Insurance Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Deryl Carlton Seckinger and James Howell Seckinger (Paulette).

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Sara Lou Seckinger of Stockton, GA; son, Greg Seckinger (Angela) of Stockton, GA; daughter, Emily Seckinger (Tim Wilson) of Stockton, GA; sisters in law, Sandra Seckinger of Valdosta, GA and Marjorie Johnson of Valdosta, GA and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM, Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Stockton Baptist Church. Visitation will be held the night prior, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Music Funeral Services in Lakeland. A burial is to follow at Stockton Baptist Church Cemetery.
