Donald "Mark" Simpson

Donald “Mark” Simpson – 55 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 in the South Georgia Medical Center. Mark was born on January 7, 1966 in Valdosta, Georgia to Verlie Mae (Hooker) and the late John William Simpson, Jr. He worked for many years in the patch and polishing department at Regal Boats. Mark was a loving father, and enjoyed the time he spent with his immediate and extended family. He was also an avid football fan and big supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and Lowndes County Vikings. Mark also enjoyed salt water fishing, throwing horseshoes, and playing the lottery. Along with his father, Mark is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Gregory Simpson.
In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his Son, Shaun Simpson of Valdosta, GA; Step-son, James R. Self, II of Valdosta, GA; Brother, John Simpson of Valdosta, GA; Sisters: Pamela Sale of Lake Park, GA, Kay Simpson of Valdosta, GA; Several nieces and nephews; Special cousin, Kenny McDonald of Valdosta, GA.
