Of Lakeland passed away late Saturday afternoon Oct. 31, 2009 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital in Lakeland after a lengthy illness. He was born June 19, 1939 in Lanier County to the late Abb Talley and Thelma Conine Sirmans. He was employed at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital as one of the first Emergency Medical Technicians in Lanier County until his retirement he also worked with Deep South Ambulance service of Waycross, GA. Mr. Sirmans also served as Lanier County Coroner many years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 11:00A.M. in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Arabia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Clinch County. The family will receive friends tonight, Monday, November 2, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lanier Health Services Foundation PO BOX 555 Lakeland, GA 31635
