Doris Blankenship Herrington

Doris Blankenship Herrington 84 of Waycross, Georgia passed away Saturday August 18, 2012 at her son's residence after a brief illness. She was born June 2, 1928 in Floyd County, Georgia to Leila Pruitt Blankenship & Robert Austin Blankenship Sr., the youngest of seven children. She, along with her late husband, James, was the owner and operator of The Steak House Restaurant on US 1 South for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A Herrington Sr., a Son, James A Herrington Jr., and a Daughter, Doris Kay Herrington.
Her survivors include: Daughter, Debra H. Brooks, Orlando, Florida; 4 Sons, Russell P. Herrington, Portal, Georgia, Bobby L. Herrington, Hinesville, Georgia, Bruce Herrington, Lakeland, Georgia, Norris Ray Herrington, Sedalia, Missouri; 16 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at 2:00P.M. in the Chapel of Music Funeral Home in Waycross, Georgia with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Waycross , Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Music Funeral Services of Lakeland is serving the Herrington family.
