Dorothy Mae Cersey Brown – 78
Of Valdosta passed away at Lake Park of Madison in Madison Florida on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was born in Nashville, Georgia to the late Manning Andrew Cersey and Lessie Rachel Sirmans Cersey. She was a book binder in the publishing industry for A. V. Emmott and Sons, and also a school bus driver with the Lowndes County School System. She served as the store manager of the Holiday Market in Twin Lakes. She is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: son, Russell Brown, Sr of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter, Cynthia Patterson of Valdosta, Georgia; daughter Amanda Brown of Valdosta, Georgia; son Leroy Brown, Jr (Terri) of Valdosta, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; sisters Latrelle Baggett of Moultrie, Georgia; Linda Hall (Phil) of Valdosta, Georgia; Luewoner Wilson; and brother Floyd Martin of Homerville, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 20, 2022 in the Ousley Baptist Church with burial to follow in Ousley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the funeral home. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
