Of Berrien County, GA passed away early Sunday night July 6, 2014 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born May 24, 1931 in Lakeland Lanier County to the late Collier and Eunice Richardson Melvin. She was a homemaker, loved animals, playing bingo, and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Hayward Hendley, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors Include: 2 Daughters and Son-in-laws, Diane and Joel Nelson, Plano, TX, Lanita and James Gaskins, Nashville, GA; 2 Sons and Daughter-in-Laws, James Howard and Jenny Hendley, Eagle River, Alaska, Wallace Hendley, Jr. , Lakeland, GA; 9 Grandchildren ; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters , Joann and Michael Gahn, Utah, Mary Neims, Nashville, GA; Brother, Lamar Melvin, Pennsylvania.
As per her request she will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date in the Webb Hendley Memorial Cemetery in Berrien County, GA.
