Of Lakeland passed away early Tuesday morning, September 27, 2005 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Lanier County on May 28, 1934 to the late Chester & Bessie Monerief. She was a member of Ray City Freewill Holiness Church. Ms. Fender was preceded in death by her son, James Raymond Fender and a daughter, Juanell Fender.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 30, 2005 in the Ray City Freewill Holiness Church with burial following in Fender Cemetery.
