Dorothy “Dot” Harnage- 84
Of Lake Park, Georgia passed away on March 11, 2025, at the Langdale Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Walter Ernest Shealey and Viola Martha (Gray) Shealy on June 10, 1940, in Ocilla, Georgia. Dot cherished every moment spent with her family. To her, family was everything—the heart and soul of her world. She had a deep love for sewing and scrapbooking, often crafting beautiful, heartfelt scrapbooks for her loved ones, capturing memories that would last a lifetime. For many years, she worked at Days Inn and Jolly Inn, dedicating herself to her job with warmth and commitment. Every Friday, without fail, she looked forward to her weekly ritual of getting her hair done at Ms. Dean's, a moment of self-care that she cherished dearly. Along with her parents, she is preceded In death by her husband, Jackson Lee Harnage Sr.; son, Jackson Lee Harnage Jr; sister, Linda Croft; brothers, Joe Shealey and Tom Shealey.
Survivors include her daughters: Charlotte Biernacki (Walter) of Valdosta, Georgia and Janet Culpepper (Louie) of Lake Park, Georgia; grandchildren, Crystal Bates (Justin), Wes Simpson (Rozie) and Jordan Culpepper (Paige); 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Griffis of Nashville, Georgia and Elouise Ray of Nashville, Georgia; sister-in-law, Louise Shealey of Nashville, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests please make donations to Hillside Church of God C/O building fund, Hickory Grove Rd N, Valdosta, GA 31606 or Langdale Hospice House.
