Dorothy Guthrie Mims

Of Lakeland passed away Monday, January 7, 2008 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born September 8, 1931 in Berrien County to the late Flora Lindsey and Abner James Guthrie. She retired from Amoco Fabrics in Nashville, Georgia, upon moving to Nahunta she worked and retired from Brantley Enterprise in sales. She is a member of the Lakeland United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey Mims; a son, David Darsey; three sisters Evelyn Dorsey, Nita Paulk and Grace Powell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial following in Guthrie Cemetery in Berrien County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
