Dorothy Louise Newham

Dorothy Louise Newham, 84 of Valdosta died, Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in the South Georgia Medical Center. She was born August 31, 1935, in Hahira, Georgia to the late Agnes Boone and Hosea David Lehman.

Dorothy was a homemaker; a Christian by faith; a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an excellent caregiver and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Edmond Newham, Jr.; a son, Randy Newham; a daughter, Fay N. Wisenbaker; 12 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children: Gene Newham of Valdosta; Jaime Jones and husband David of Valdosta; grandchildren: Nicki Stone and husband Derrell of Valdosta, Randy Wisenbaker and wife Brandi of Valdosta, Ryan Newham and wife Jennifer of Live Oak, Florida, Derek Newham and wife Jenna of Echols County, Amanda English and husband Barry of Hampton, Georgia, Tyler La Plante of Valdosta, Baden Jones of Valdosta; great-grandchildren: Kennedy & Wyatt Newham, Emily, Brandon, Kelsey and JD Stone, Abigail and Reed Wisenbaker, Bennett English; a sister, Rose L. Zeigler of Griffin, Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Rites will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 30, 2020, in the Friendship Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta Chapel. The Newham family is being served by the Caring and Compassionate Professional Staff of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
