Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at her residence after a sudden illness. She was born in Lowndes County, GA on March 1, 1948 to the late James Bill & Ethel Lightsey. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James, Julian, and Donnie Lightsey.

Daughter Jenny Reid Valdosta, GA
Grandson Wyatte Reid Valdosta, GA
Brother & Sister-in-law Wesley & Linda Lightsey Valdosta, GA
A number of nieces and nephews
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 29, 2005 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Gene Wisehart officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Way Baptist Church Cemetery.
