Of Quitman passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 in Brooks County Hospital. She was born on May 28, 1937 in Ocilla, GA to the late Henry William & Carrie Lee Cox Broome. She was an active member of Quitman Church of God. She enjoyed singing in the choir, cooking, working in the church clothes closet, in the food bank and spending time with her grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Sandifer, daughter, Marsha Sandifer, son Bobby Sandifer, and sisters, Valjean Pike and Ardith Broome
Survivors include:Son & Daughter-in-law, Marcus & Carla Sandifer, Groton, CT; Grandson, Michael Sandifer, Groton, CT; A number of Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Quitman Church of God with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.
