Dorothy Jane Wright

Dorothy Jane Wright - 81 of Jacksonville, FL passed away on December 26, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. She was born in Camilla, Georgia on July 8, 1936 to the late Samuel and Jessie (Sanders) Parr. Dorothy’s mother died when she was young and Samuel remarried to, Theatus Pearson Parr who raised her as her own and Dorothy considered her as Mother. They became one large loving family. The love and devotion of this family is what molded Dorothy into the caring, loving, family centric lady that she became. Dorothy was very crafty. She loved cooking for family and friends, baking, crocheting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband G.W. Wright, son Gerald Wright, grandson, Joey Wright, brothers: Joseph Pearson, Harold Pearson, Mickey Parr and Sammy Parr and her sister, Eunalene Johnson.
Dorothy is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Sam & Susan Wright, Jacksonville, FL; daughters & son-in-law: Sandra & Tommy Enzminger, Jacksonville, FL, Sonia Wright, Jacksonville, FL; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers & sister-in-law: Billy Ray & Mildred Parr, Needmore, GA, Mac Parr, Jasper, FL; sisters & brothers-in-law: Brunell & David Ziegler, Recon, GA, Rosalyn Neely, Chattahoochee, FL, Shelby Jean & Kenneth Petty, Crosby, MS and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
