Passed away on January 2, 2019 at San Jose Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on November 29, 1975 in Valdosta, GA to William Michael Mowls, Sr. and Veronica Gail (Carlo) Mowls. At the age of 14 he decided to become a volunteer fire fighter. He worked as a mechanic, carpenter and was considered a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his Son, Austin Douglas Mowls of Valdosta, GA; Step son, Daniel Justin Strohl of Valdosta, GA; Brother, William Michael Mowls, Jr. of Boulder, CO; Father and Mother, William Michael Mowls, Sr and Veronica Gail Mowls of Valdosta, GA; Uncle, Albert F. Carter, of Valdosta, GA; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2018 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Saturday, January 5, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
