Douglas Ray Heard, Sr.

Of Lakeland, passed away at his home Wednesday, December 09, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He was born July 22, 1933 in Livingston, TN to the late Clyde and Earnest Jones Heard. He was retired from the United States Air Force. He was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He is preceded in death by a Brother, Don Heard.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Austin Deloach, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 11, 2009 from 6-8 p.m.
