Douglas Bubba Oliver Jr., 43, of Valdosta passed away Monday afternoon, Aug. 13, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Oliver was born March 30, 1964, in Clinch County to Doug Sr. and Bea Oliver. Bubba enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing. He was a member of the Mayday Hunting Club and was Baptist by faith.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his fianceé, Tara Wood; daughter Christina Wood; two sisters, Missy Sipes, Margie Oliver, all of Valdosta; four special nieces, Angela Nathan Britt, Christie Oliver, Stormy Delk and Gracie Britt; two special nephews, Steven Sipes and Jase Sipes; best friend, Reuben Kinsey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
