Of Lake Park passed away Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Smith Northview Hospital after a short illness. He was born on January 17, 1918 in Wilcox County, AL. Mr. Smith served in the United States Army Air Core in World War II and served in the Civil Service at Moody Air Force Base for 31 years. He was a member of Lake Park Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Smith and two brothers, Jack Smith and Dayton Smith.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2006 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
