Doyle E. Lightsey – 90
Of Valdosta, GA passed away Monday, December 11, 2017 in a car accident. He was born on December 1, 1927 in Naylor, GA to the late Lyman Carter Lightsey and Cordie Gaskins Lightsey. He was a member of Azalea Lodge 716. He worked as surveyor for the Georgia Department of Transportation and Civil Engineer specializing in concrete and asphalt for over 30 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Lightsey and a sister, Doris McKinnon. Survivors include: 7 Nieces, Betty Hohnadel of Peachtree City, Clarice Hairr of Columbus, GA., Marilyn Somers of Dothan, AL., Beth Rousseau of Nashville, GA., Emory Seko of Nashville, GA., Maria Windsor Nashville, GA., Sherry Floyd of Homerville, GA., a cousin, Louise Taylor Braren of Jacksonville, FL and Several great nieces, nephews and extended family members. Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Hill Cemetery. As per Mr. Doyle’s wishes masonic rites will be performed as his service.
