Earl Ray “Jeff” Jefferson – 80

Of Lake Park passed away Wednesday April 28, 2004 in Zephyrhills, Florida after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 27, 1923 in Cook County to the late Ray & Johnnie Dell Jefferson and had lived in Lowndes County all of his life. He served in the United States Coast Guard in WWII and served as City Councilman for Lake Park, Georgia for 13 years. Mr. Jefferson retired from Owens Illinois after 35 years of service. His sister, Pauline Hopper and grandson, Kyle Jefferson, precede him in death.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday April 30, 2004 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
