Of Lakeland passed away Sunday, December 7, 2008 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Leesburg, FL on May 22, 1948 to Shirley Sayre Peele of Slocum, AL and the late Daniel Webster Sayre. Mr. Sayre served in the United States National Guard. He was employed by Southern States Toyotalift as a transport driver in Valdosta, GA.
Survivors include: son, Kevin Sayre, Beaufort, SC, daughters, Katrina Cochran, Fruitland Park, FL, Rebecca Rivera, Meriden, CT, grandchildren, Kevin Sayre, Jr., Justin Sayre, Travis Sayre, Kaitlyn Sayre, P.J. Prevatt, Cody Prevatt, Sasha Atkins, Preston Sayre, Abigale Sayre, Ernie Rivera, great grandchild, Shyanne Durst, brother, Ronald Sayre, Geneva, AL, sisters, Ellen Switzer, Slocum AL, Rachel Graff, Ocala, FL, Patricia Faler, Unity, NH, Lena Layton, Dothan, AL, Shirley Hamilton, Unity, NH, and a number of nieces and nephews
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2008 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
