Of Dadeville, Alabama, formally of Lakeland, Georgia passed away Monday evening October 5, 2009 in the Lake Marin Community Hospital. He was born in Desota County, Florida to the late John and Sophie Augusta Sellars Prescott. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lakeland, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his wife Sudie Prescott.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2009 in the Lang Memorial Cemetery in Clinch County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. for visitation and to travel together to the cemetery.
