Edward Julian Dickerson, 77 of Valdosta, GA passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026, in Thomasville, GA. Eddie was born on July 13, 1948, to the late Wallace and Gertrude Dickerson in Hahira, GA. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Lowndes Vikings. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time fishing and hunting. He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Dickerson; mother, Gertrude Dickerson; brothers, Larry Dickerson and Ronnie Dickerson; sister, Brenda Spell; granddaughter, Amber Lynn Dickerson.

Survivors include his daughter Denise Jernigan (Jeffrey) of Valdosta, GA; sons, Larry Dickerson (Jewel) of Haddock, GA and Chris Dickerson (Robyn) of Waynesboro, GA; daughter, Cynthia (Cindy) Murrell (Jeff) of Tifton, GA; sister, Sandra Santana of Statenville, GA; brother, Kenny Dickerson of Augusta, GA; along with 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 6, 2026, in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
