Eddie Arnold Vickers

Eddie Arnold Vickers, age 80, of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. He was born on August 17, 1945, in Pontiac, Michigan, to his loving parents, Silas William Vickers and Klora Marie Dobbs Vickers.

Eddie was a hardworking and honest man who took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. He spent many years working on the assembly line manufacturing automobiles for Chrysler.

Those who knew Eddie will remember him as a good and genuine man with a kind heart. He was loved by many and cherished by his family and friends. Eddie never needed much to be happy; he found joy in the simple things in life and in the people he loved.

Music was a very special part of Eddie’s life. He enjoyed both playing music and singing, sharing his love of music with those around him. He also loved fishing and treasured the peace and enjoyment that came from spending time outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Shirley Vickers; sister, Diane Stone; brothers John Wayne Vickers, Dave Vickers and Don Vickers.

Eddie is survived by sons, Mikell Vickers (Mickie), Christopher (Sandy) Vickers and Tony Vickers, his daughters, Cassandra Johnson and Audrey (Jeff) Swallows; brothers, Bill (Fran)Vickers and Lonnie Vickers; longtime companion, Pauline Kennedy and several nieces and nephews and many grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Guthrie Cemetery, Berrien County. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland.
