Edeltraud Elisabeth Gilliland

Edeltraud Elisabeth Gilliland – 93 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 in the Lakeland Villas Nursing Home after an illness. She was born on January 13, 1928 in Breslau, Germany to the late Luzia Maria Anna (Bernert) and Josef Werner. Edel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed being outdoors and gardening was her favorite hobby. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lamont Gilliland, Jr., sisters: Maria W. Huttersen, Barbara W. Sink, Ursula W. Meindl; brothers: Fridolin Werner, Toni Werner.
Survivors include her Sons: Andy Werner and wife Barbara of Charleston, SC, Francis Gilliland and wife Martha of Taylors, SC, Lamont Gilliland and wife Kathleen of Boone, NC; Daughter: Rose G. Pelfrey and husband Greg of Greer, SC; Grandchildren: Jeanelle, Brandon, Jasmine, Caitlyn, Nicole, Jessica; 6 great grandchildren; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
