Edgar Henry Jackson – 76
Of Valdosta passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on July 18, 1935 in Waukegan, Illinois to Edgar Allen Jackson and Viola Abildgarrd-Jackson. Henry, as he was known to friends and family, grew up in Valdosta, GA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid collector of firearms. Henry was drafted into the Army, served in Korea and fought in French-indo China. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he was recalled again with the Cuban missile crisis. He worked for ITT Metal Products for 32 years before retiring do to health issues.
Henry is survived by his son, David Nathaniel Jackson and daughter-in-law, Alicia Miller Jackson, daughter, Natashia Elone Jackson and a grandson, James Nathaniel Jackson.
A man who "never met a stranger" will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
