She was born on June 5, 1935 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Nicholas Sanders and to the late Johanna Thieme Bechthold. She was of the Methodist faith and was a housewife. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Ray City United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City, GA.
