Edith Chason Williams – 75
Of Hahira, Georgia passed away on Thursday February 11, 2021 in the South Georgia Medical Center after an illness. Edith was born on July 19, 1945 in Hahira, Georgia to the late Melba Annie (Luke) and Denwin Harris Chason. Edith worked as a bookkeeper for Sears and Roebuck in Atlanta, Georgia, Ronald Jones Ferneries in Pierson, Florida and sales at Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Georgia. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Williams.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Robbin and Jimmy “Bo” White of Covington, GA, Tina and Dewayne Luke of Hahira, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Richard Hicks and Michelle Foxworthy of Buford, GA; Eight Grandchildren: Michelle Stripling (David), Keven Luke (MaryHelen), Shawn Dylan Luke (Alexis), Clay Hicks, Faith Hicks, Sam White, Sarah White, Lily Ball; Six Great Grandchildren: Dallas, Braeleigh, and Maggie Stripling, Southern and Silas Luke and Knox Luke; Step-daughter, Heather Shepard; Brother, Gerald and Kay Chason of Ray City, GA; Nieces: Tya Camp of Hahira, GA, Rhonda Reynolds of Ray City, GA.
A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday February 13, 2021 in the Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, Georgia. Messages of sympathy can be left at www.musicfuneralservices.com . The Williams family is being served by the caring and professional staff of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
