Edmond Patrick Tomlinson – 80
Of Berrien County passed away Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Langdale Hospice House, Valdosta. He was born on August 5, 1927 in Berrien County to the late Bartow Rockwell and Phoebe Hall Tomlinson. During WWII he served as a Merchant Marine at the age of 17. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the Minesweeper, U.S.S. Mulberry. He was with the Stewart-Warner Alemite Company of Jacksonville, FL for 32 and retired to Nashville in 1989.He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, L.C. of Mobile, AL, Doris Mizell of Valdosta, L.W. of St. Petersburg, FL, John L. of Valdosta, Kate Grimball of Charleston, SC, Helen Giddens of Jonesboro, GA, and Grace Witman of Valdosta.
Survivors include:Wife of 56 years, Marcella Tomlinson, born in Cadot, WI of Nashville, GA, Daughter, Phoebe Tomlinson, Palm Harbor, FL, 2 Sons & Daughter-n-law Michael Tomlinson, Nashville, GA, Gary & Mollie Tomlinson, Hahira, GA, 3 Grandchildren: Darren, Killien & Corbin, Many loving nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 17, 2008 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time the day of the service at the funeral home.
