She was born in Fulton County Georgia, on August 19, 1929 to the late Earnest and Nellie Raines Pollard. She was preceded in death be her husband, George Barfield, Son, James Franklin Barfield, and Sister Rachel Lewis.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 31, 2007 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Curtis Eason officiating with burial following in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends the day of the service from 10:00 until 12:00 P.M. the day of service.
