Of Valdosta passed away Tuesday July 18, 2006 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Burkhalter was born June 18, 1918 in Toombs County, Georgia to Eddie and Irene Keel Parker. She lived in Valdosta for most of her life and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Her Husband, Ancil Burkhalter, and Sister, Ailene Tomlinson, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: 5 Daughters and Son-inlaw; Linda and Robert Fletcher, Valdosta, Betty Frazier, Valdosta, Barbara and P.J. Daniels, Valdosta, Nancy King, Naylor, Kay and Ricky Carter, Valdosta, 8-Grandchildren, 11- Great-Grandchildren, Sister and Brother-in-law, Mildred and Roy Harris, Valdosta, Brother and Sister-in-law, Philmore and Louise Parker, Prosperity, SC, Friend and Caregiver, Joann Pryor, Valdosta
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Friday July 21, 2006 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Swilley Hill Cemetery.
